Hi, my name is Daniel Pod. I'm an associate professor and clinical coordinator at the St. John's University Physician Assistant Program based out of Jamaica, Queens. Clinical scheduling before CORE, when it was a manual process, it was rather onerous and, very labor intensive. We utilized Microsoft Access and each successive schedule became more and more difficult to schedule students in that manual process. Conflicts arose that are oftentimes not discovered until well after all the students were placed, that presented its own unique set of challenges. Core helps to identify those conflicts through some of the scheduling features, especially through the SmartMatch program that we utilize. SmartMatch has been a game changer and a lifesaver in that it uses its automated, intelligent placement algorithm to match the student preferencing to the site and preceptor availabilities. It has really reduced the scheduling time to a millifraction of what it previously had taken. Previously, it has taken months to weeks, and now, literally, in the blink of an eye and with a click of the mouse, our schedules are compiled. So students are able to basically tag their preceptors by a way of their core logging within the system. What that does is it has students become evaluated accurately and fairly by the preceptors with whom they're most intimately involved at the clinical sites. With the new evaluation system and platform that we utilize within CORE, we get much higher return and response rates from the preceptors, and we don't have to chase down as many now. Our team uses Contract Manager as a sole source of truth for the affiliation agreement management and monitoring within the system. We used to have a filing system this high from the floor. The automation now within the contract manager has really made that a much easier process, and we are always ahead of the curve in terms of knowing which affiliation agreements will lapse and expire weeks and months ahead of time. What that allows the program to do is not miss a beat, and it helps to foster and facilitate a seamless continuity of clinical rotations within all of our clinical sites. Core has done tremendous work for us in terms of monitoring rotation requirements like infection control and HIPAA. You can imagine a clinical year of our program our size of about seventy to seventy five students and having four or five separate requirements for each of those students, it became a very laborious process. Now because it's automated, students can directly upload all those requirements, and as a program, we are able to globally inspect for those and monitor for those. And as an added bonus, we can have automated reminders sent out to all the students when they are deficient and tardy on their returns of their requirements. So it frees up our time as administrators and as faculty for other critical items and missions at the program. These tools have dramatically helped and facilitated our ARC PA review, and that having them readily available has reduced the stress associated with accreditation and self study submission. If you can think of a report that is required for the ARC PA, the core reporting suite is able to produce that for our program. Student aggregate outcomes data, preceptor qualification and requirements, encounter logging, all these things within a click of a button or two are able to be produced for us in very organized and neat reports. I would say if you're not utilizing it already, definitely strongly consider the platform. It will save you boatloads of time and effort. It's clean and neat and organized, and, the customer service has, really been stellar. Our client success representative and client success workers have been nothing short of amazing and patient as we continue to grow within the system. So do it today if you haven't already.
