How Herzing University Unified Clinical Placements Across 10 Campuses with CORE Technology Suite

Hi. My name is Beth Gilbertson. I am the associate vice president of experiential learning for Herzing University. We were really ten individual ground campuses in an online version, all doing different things, following the same policies, but the processes in which we were doing them were very different. We were primarily working off of spreadsheets. We had multiple systems that we needed to run-in order to place students into clinicals. So we moved to a regional model. And in doing that, that's where we realized some of these inefficiencies. So at that point, we started exploring different solutions. We put together a task force that rated different companies that we brought forward and then ultimately made the selection to work with CORE. CORE instantly stood out, to the task force. There were so many things that made them different. It was the team approach, the longevity that the team will stay with you. So that's what stood out to me. What stood out to some of the task force members was that integration with some of our current systems, and then we made some changes to utilize some other systems as well, making people's jobs just that much easier. So Core really has the ability to tailor individual solutions, but because they work with so many different universities already, they really understand what clinical placement is all about. So it makes it easy to have conversations because they're familiar with what that process already looks like. But they could provide us, solutions we hadn't even thought about. So they know they've seen what works, what other questions had other universities asked, and that helped us know what questions that we should be asking and even understand what processes may actually benefit us. What I would say to other institutions that are looking to partner with CORE is what are you waiting for? In an industry where, you know, universities are going out of business, it makes it even more important to make sure that you're utilizing your personnel the right way. So you have to find a balance. And for us, that balance is taking someone who is an expert in the industry, who knows how to implement properly the systems that you're currently using into Core to make it one seamless transition. So I don't know why other institutions are waiting. If they're thinking about it, they really need to explore what Core has to offer and move on it.
