The situation
Managing Clinical Education with Manual Processes
When Letitia Cooper Fox joined Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PA program team, she quickly realized the program wasn’t fully utilizing CORE’s potential. Despite starting to work in CORE only about five months ago, Letitia has been on a mission to harness CORE’s capabilities to streamline key processes and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
One of her biggest successes has been organizing clinical site credentials, such as board certifications, state licensure, and PA licensure, all within CORE. By uploading these directly into the system and tracking expiration dates, she’s now able to run reports to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. For Letitia, it’s not just about compliance—it’s about bringing order and efficiency to processes that once felt chaotic.
Letitia has also found value in CORE’s ability to manage affiliation agreements. By entering expiration dates into the system, she can easily stay on top of contracts. Recently, she began exploring the payments module, further expanding CORE’s use in her daily work. Her ultimate goal? To fully house all aspects of the program’s operations within CORE, eliminating the need for paper altogether.
Letitia attended the CORE Annual Summit and found the compliance tips particularly valuable for navigating her program's accreditation requirements. She appreciated the actionable strategies shared at the Summit, which clarified her approach to meeting these standards. CORE’s supportive community also stood out to her—she values the chance to collaborate with other programs and exchange best practices.

...CORE has the ability to make your life easier, but it’s what you make of it. Once it’s in there, it’s beautiful.
The solution
Implementing CORE to Streamline Operations
Looking ahead, Letitia is excited about leveraging CORE’s scheduling module more efficiently and running detailed reports to monitor student performance. She tracks students mid-rotation check-ins, gathering feedback on their clinical challenges like suturing or communication with patients.
This information helps the program tailor callback days, allowing students to practice specific skills like suturing or mock patient discussions to build confidence. Letitia also monitors evaluations of preceptors and sites, flagging concerns from either students or preceptors. By using CORE’s reporting features, she can quickly identify and address potential issues.
Her advice to other programs considering CORE? “Invest the time to put all of your data in. CORE has the ability to make your life easier, but it’s what you make of it. Once it’s in there, it’s beautiful.”
While Letitia feels she’s just scratched the surface of CORE’s potential, she’s eager to dig deeper. With CORE, she’s already transforming the way Fairleigh Dickinson’s PA program manages clinical education, and she’s excited about the future.
