PeopleGrove Inc. (“PeopleGrove”, "us", "we", or "our") operates the PeopleGrove platform, which includes this website (the "Service"). We operate this site in conjunction with our partners (universities and other organizations) who manage the day to day operation of their respective site (our “Partners”).
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service.
Information Collection and Use
While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your email address, name, phone number, and other information ("Personal Information").
We collect this information for the purpose of providing the Service, identifying and communicating with you, responding to your requests/inquiries, and improving the Service.
Certain information may be visible to other users on the platform. You can see which information is visible by visiting your profile.
Data collected on the PeopleGrove platform is on behalf of our Partners, and our Partners have ultimate ownership of data you provide on this Platform. If you do not agree to giving ownership of your data on the PeopleGrove platform to our Partner who is operating this site, please contact email@example.com to delete your account and all associated data.
You have a right to access your Personal Information and may request that any such data which is factually inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or irrelevant to the purpose(s) of the processing be corrected or deleted. Personal Communication Using the PeopleGrove Platform
A main purpose of the PeopleGrove platform is to communicate with other individuals on the platform. When connecting with an individual using the Service, you may be exchanging personal information with that individual, such as email or phone numbers. PeopleGrove and our Partners also reserve the right to screen the content of communications on the platform for the purpose of improving the Service and preventing spam and abuse.
We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
In addition, we may use third-party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our Service's functionality. These third-party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

Compliance with Laws

As part of Privacy Shield, PeopleGrove is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

PeopleGrove remains responsible for the processing of personal information we have received under the Privacy Shield in the event of a transfer to a third party, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. PeopleGrove shall remain liable if its agent processes such personal information in a manner inconsistent with Privacy Shield, unless PeopleGrove proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA) have certain rights in respect of your personal information and PeopleGrove will provide these capabilities to all our worldwide users, including:

You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing or promotional communications at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link found within PeopleGrove email updates and changing your contact preferences. Note there are some emails which you may not unsubscribe from (such as message requests) and you must delete your account to stop
Users located within the EEA may contact us at email@example.com with questions or requests regarding their personal information. Please note that PeopleGrove may request additional information from you to verify your identity before we disclose any personal or account information.
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.
However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
